Poems from brooklyn6timesplus

This is my description of myself and my poetry. My name is Brooklyn Six aka The Brooklyn Six Project. I was born on Monday, August 26th 1974 in New York City. I graduated from DeWitt Clinton High School in June 1992. I served in the United States Navy for nine years. While in the Navy I have lived in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Portland Or, and Seattle. I currently live in Lynnwood, Washington about twenty miles north of downtown Seattle. Poetry is my written medication whenever I feel stressed about something. All of my poems are about life, love, happiness, sadness, triumph, and tragedy. Hopefully, i will be able to captivate others with my poetry. Take care everyone.
The clock is ticking
And time keeps slipping away
Get your business completed
That should be the goal for today
Your hands should not be...
Enlighten, encourage and empower
Let those words be uplifting
As you embark on your next adventure
Look for a deeper meaning
You have it...
As you read along
Some stories may have a subplot
There may be a connection of some sort
For others to figure out
This may twist the reader...
Success is there
Reach for the sky
Be willing to work for it
Set your sights high
Nothing is easy
Go through that maze
Let the battle...
Good thoughts and words
Only get you so far
Take action immediately
So you can be that star
The mind is an essential tool
Utilize it...
