Poems from Todapie
A streak of pink, a flash of red
Smiles outlined in bliss
My mind forgets to remind me not to stare
My lips forget to stay closed
Colors...
In the calm of the day
The breeze carries conversations
Talk of the day
People's admirations and apirations, consulations and hesitations...
The reds and oranges fall from above us
Propelled from our joy filled pile of leaves
Browns and yellows cloud our visions
But I don't need...
It’s in those eyes
The way they stay at me
Challenging, demanding
Empowering me
In those eyes I recognize
Someone behind those eyes...
At first light, our love is there
As across the pond we stare
Till our gaze drifts into the others eyes
As our love in the sun’s light lies...
