Colors

Sun, 11/10/2013 - 01:10 -- Todapie

The reds and oranges fall from above us

Propelled from our joy filled pile of leaves

Browns and yellows cloud our visions

But I don't need to see, to know you're next to me

White replaces the colors of fall

As pure cold falls from the sky

We are all that moves in the unbroken snow

Only two bodies to stay warm

Whites melt into pinks and purples

Fields of color, fields of joy

Whose beauty can't compare

To a smile and a laugh, of a frolicker in a field

When the greens are the greenest

The sun stays up to give us more time

Our bonfires light the night

And our love never ends

The colors of the year tell our stories

Since our memories are so much more than black and white

But no matter the color or the season

Your beauty is what I want to see
