I went to a poetry slam on my college campus, and I became inspired. My mother tells me I'm a gifted writer, so I believe it. I can't go a single day without writing at least one thought down on paper. I'm also a musician; I play piano and I sing. I write music, lyrics, poems, essays--basically anything. I love words.
I'm by myself
But I'm not alone
I'm sitting in my bean bag chair by the window
And I'm dancing in a bright green field
I'm warm, dry and...
Pain.
All I feel is pain.
The sun was right behind the clouds
But I got tired of the rain
I dove into my shelter
Right as the rays began...
Inflicting pain on myself
Is a choice
A choice that tells me I still have a voice
No matter how frowned upon it is,
It will STILL hurt...
