I run up fast to catch up to the lead

Running in the new shoes that I have bought

I have to come in the top four; it's a need

I hear my friends and family all around

As I sprint past fourth, nothing slows me down

Faster and faster,my feet hit the ground

I hope I will be number one in town

I blow past the people in front of me

I feel all their eyes, my heart starts to race

I have to think smart; I know that's key

Despite all the work, I pick up the pace

As I see the finish line coming near
