Your Bring Out The Good In Me

You bring out the love in me.

The tsunami of emotions in me

The tornado of desires in me

As you leave me tremble in my knees

You bring out the colonized

Colonized by love

The Hamlet and Ophelia love in me

Amour, Cupid shot thousands of arrows

As you bring out the exquisite love in me

You bring out the cactus in me

The cacti fiery thongs of obsession in me

The Angel de Sophia in me

The coyness in me

The solitary reaper in me

Like Romeo and Juliet reaped for love amidst hate

The sacred flame of true love that burns through me

In your love lie my life and my death

Spangled star of the sea

That doth feed me with love and fresh water

Je vis d’amour et d’eau douce

You are the feeling of the wish fulfilled in me

The feeling that calms my nerves when Poseidon seeks to rattle

Rattle what else but the sea of adversity

May I be your Pocahontas?

And protect you from the fiery eyes of Medusa

I will be by your side

Till a snail moves faster than the speed of light.

You bring out the Africa in me

 The Futa Djallon in me

The Zulu Spirit in me

The ancestral drummer in me

The Odenigbo in me

You bring out good and evil

Just in me
