As I look down the long road that awaits me

I wonder where it leads to

And who I will be when I get there

 

It will take me on a journey

One that I will never forget

And one that will impact my life forever

 

But I don't have to worry

Because I have you 

 

You have been there since the begining 

Watching me 

Helping me 

Supporting me 

Loving me 

Shaping my life 

 

You watched my first step 

Smiled at my first word 

And laughed at all of the funny things I did as a young child 

 

You assisted me with homework 

Explained what I didn't understand 

And helped me study for tests 

 

You always support me 

Whether it be for joining a club

Or picking a high school 

 

You always love me 

And will always love

No matter what I do 

 

You have shaped my life

In ways that you cannot even imagine 

And you influence me everyday 

 

I know I will never be able to repay you

For all you have and will do for me 

But at least I can thank you
