You See Usy

You see I sit in one classroom, in one country, with twenty students, with over thirty different cultural backgrounds. Culture is very different from one another but what every culture shares are facial expressions. A frown depicts gloom and a smile depicts bliss. I have learned that life is better when I am constantly smiling, helping others, and acknowledging individuals. As I walk down a street and I see a person I will smile at them, why? By smiling I am acknowledging their presence and make them feel welcomed. I can easily brighten up one’s day in this manner. My friends have constantly decreed, “You see Usy.” after I smile to a random stranger walking by, assist a person in need, or just wish a nice day to a person as I step out of an elevator. You see my name is Ushaia but due to several people mispronouncing my name the nickname Usy has stuck with me ever since I was little. You see I am the gentlemen who is constantly aware of his surroundings and wishing to offer help whenever possible. You see my act of kindness is natural; it’s a part of me. You see my reward is the feeling of gallantry. Each time one asks why I am so friendly I respond with “You see Usy.” One friend having an onomatopoetic saying to describe that I am aware of the peers around me has turned into my quirk of who I am.
