Here I am, 

Off to start yet another adventure, 

another chapter.

I don't yet know.

To leave everything I know behind.

Am I ready?

To take the wheel and drive.

Am I ready?

To take control of my life.

Am I ready?

To be done with adolescent fears.

Am I ready?

I don't know.

I have to be ready.

Time will soon be up,

And the cord will be cut.

I am ready for what life has to throw,

To make my own decisions,

To be my own person. 

I know, I'm ready.
