You

You with your attitude

You with your wishy washy

Unrelaible self.

You that likes to contradict

at every turn.

You that doesn't take

my opinion into consideration.

You that wants it done your way

or the highway.

Why must you take his side

over mine?

Why must you keep me sheltered

under your arm

when all I want to do

is stretch my own wings

and fly?

Why must you yell

and fight

and scream at me

to get your point across

but then go back and let another

do what I could not?

You who is completely pessimistic

in your views.

You who can't change a thing

if it wasn't planned.

Why am I alone

the one who has to suffer

your madness?

No longer will I let you

hold me back and make me

feel stupid for voicing my own opinions.

No longer will you keep me

from what I desire most.

No longer will you keep this bird

in an iron cage.

I am free.

Free of this place

and free of you.
