The Worm

Location

“Lean towards me,” he whispered.

“No. Lean away.”

The teacher was watching.

“I have a surprise for you,”

he cooed. “Down here.”

peered under the table,

then I saw it,

just hanging,

limp.

I don’t know

what the big deal is.

It wasn’t that interesting.

Honestly, I thought it was a worm.
