A Wish for a Fairytale Ending
Sometimes I wish,
Out loud or in my head
That this was just,
A horrid nightmare.
A nightmare that is way too long,
And way too heart breaking.
Sadly this isn’t a dream or nightmare,
But a twisted reality,
A parallel of the past,
A mistake made by another.
This mistake is bound by,
Blood.
Hidden within codes and codes of DNA.
But now, here with the similar mistake,
On the other end I stand.
Is the truth I know, and fear.
This story, it doesn’t have,
A fairy tale ending.
Its ending is,
Dark,
Heartbreaking,
And grave
