Winter Wonder World

A white blanket covers the soft ground,

Fire crackles its vibrant heat into the frigid air

Stocking hang above, waiting to be filled

Sweet smells wafts from the kitchen

Ah yes! The Christmas sugar cookie we have longed for all year

Bright, colorful lights alluninate the room,

Spining ornaments dangle from the evergreen tree

Love and joy fills the room

I look around at my beautiful family,

thinking of what a wonderful world we live in
