Why?Why should I bother

Why?

Why should I bother why should I try

when the world around me doesn't see life through my eyes

the walk down the block, the calls I recieve

Life isn't hard for someone who is not me.

Stuck between two worlds, no where to turn

I relate to those who seem me as unrelatable, without unrelatibility

sickness consumes, messages distorted through the lense we recieve

sheltered by fear and uncomfortibility

surroundings are crumbling all around me,

life isn't hard for someone who is not me.

Then I see in one set of eyes that their world is mine

and for that I understand I am not condemned

to a place of darkness, rather I am the light

and with it I can bring those who are suffocating

out of their shelters, where they can shine bright.

That is why.
