A poem a day

Keeps the darkness at bay,

Extracting my emotions

Sets my creativity in motion,

My writing is a hiding place

Where I can disappear without a trace,

I submerge in the waters of passion

Writing is my most worn fashion,

I can't live without it

For my heart would tear to bits,

Writing keeps my world together,

The planets aligned, my mind tough as leather,

It provides irrevocable sight

This is why I write.
