This is not a forced writing assignment nor is it just a bunch of rhyming words

It's simple to explain and far more intellectual than any nerd

It's the rhythm to my soul, the simplicity aspect of my life

It contains deep meanin lines, sometimes even gives advice

It's rap without an intrumental, the reason why I love music

There is no specified way to express it, yet it's wrong to abuse it

As for me, it flows out naturally, intricately forming within my mind

All I need is a pen and pad and some peacefull time

Writing is my personality's way of expression

It even saves my life from stuggles of depression

So as I conclude this last line, I want you to see

This is why I write and what poetry mean to me!
