"After high school, I do somely swear to attend college.", I told my dad.

A thought of not going to college never came across my mind

Because I wasn't growing up with that mindset

High school wasn't my finish line, neither was college. 

My finish line is my title of Dr. Brown.

After high school, I plan on attending Kansas State with the major of Animal Science

Then after I achieve my bachelor's degree.

I will travel on to Angelo State for my doctoral degree in Veterinary Medicine.

With this degree, I plan to pursue the career of a Veterinary Physician.

With that I am at my finish line.

My parents never settle for anything and neither will I

My family takes a big achievement in education

Because we know if others were not able to get a college education

And now that we have a chance to

We will not let that go to waste, Due to laziness

 

Everything you want, you must earn in our world.

In this day and age, our generation is seen as nothing 

As far as successful or hardworking

 

We are seen as lazy, selfish

 

And wanting nothing more than wealth

 

But don't want to work hard to get it

We have to prove that we are better than the assumptions

 

So by doing that we must attack the opportunity of a college degree

 

 

Education is our lives

 

But some can't see it that way

 

They see it as something we must commit to for 12 years of our lives 

 

Oh, how devestating!

 

Some even see it as only a couple of years

 

Til I can dropout

 

And they are perfectly fine with that 

 

I cannot stand to sit around classmates

 

Throwing away their lives

 

Just because they're lazy

 

Or they can just get a job now

 

Sterotypes are already a big problem in our society

 

They are really big toward our entire generation

 

"Nothing, but savages"

 

Let's NOT let that go to reality
