Why Does It Matter Who I Am?

Thu, 12/10/2015 - 18:21 -- nysia96

I am a girl of many things.

I am a girl of question.

I am a girl of curiosity.

But mostly, I am a girl of many things.

I am a girl of rebellion.

I am a girl of order.

I am a girl of confusion.

But mostly, I am a girl of many things.

I am a girl of sass.

I am a girl of controlling things.

I am a girl with no self-control.

But mostly, I am a girl of many things.

I am girl of obsession.

I am a girl of art.

I am a girl of education.

But mostly, I am a girl of many things.

I am a girl of videogames.

I am I girl of books.

I am a girl of science and law.

But mostly, I am a girl of many things.

I am a girl of perfectionism.

I am a girl of stubbornness.

I am a girl of mystery.

But mostly, I am a girl.

Why does it matter who I am?

When labels find a way to define who I should be.

Why does it matter to know what I am?

When I know I am human.

Why does it matter if what I do affects who I am?

When the only way to be who I am is to know what I am.

I am a woman seeking to know why it doesn’t matter who I am in order to be who I am.

I am me: a girl of many things.
