Why?

She hides behind a curtain of hair

Everyone talks but she doesn't care

Lost in a world all her own

The only place she's really at home

She ducks behind the pages of her books

To avoid all of the questioning looks

She wonders why they all stare

It's not like they actually care

She wants them to leave her alone

Words they say like chills to the bone

When everyone laughs, she flushes red

All she wishes is for home, for bed

But home is like a prison cell

Held on so long, she finally fell

Into darkness, into despair

Into Lucifer's evil lair

She comes back, dead inside

Now she feels her sanity slide

Feeling the long-awaited snap

Trying to calm down, take a step back

But calm won't come

Not even some

She thinks of death

The drawing of a final breath

But not of her own

Of those who made her so alone

All the ones the ever laughed

All long line through past

Of the 'parents' and 'friends'

Whose lines seem to bend

She want's them all gone

Never again to see a new dawn

But she fears that's what they want

So they come back to haunt

She reigns herself in

Cannot give to a whim

They don't care all she does is cry

She just likes to wonder 'why'
