"Who is the true you?"

Who is the true you?

A question I never thought would be answered.

Surrounded by the darkness of insercurites and worries.

Of me a teenage girl never going to be able to fit in.

Until a switch flipped.

And something changed.

I heard sweet melodies calling my name,

Telling me not to be in pain.

I look up to find so many unfamiliar faces.

I shrunk back and threw up all of my defences.

Then I was shown things you couldn't imagine.

I was shown light amongst the darkness.

I now realise music is my one true passion.

Now I look at the world in a beautiful hue.

My question was answered, who is the true you?
