Who am I? What will I be?

Location

I sit in my room wondering what to do

Who am I? What will I be?

High school passes quickly, I feel the people stare at me

They wonder what’s become of me

Who am I? What will I be?

I walk among the chosen ones; they stand directly in the sun

They know the work that must be done

Who am I? What will I be?

I walk among the crowd in fear; I know there is no danger here

But what will be my career?

Who am I? What will I be?

My mom comes to sit me down; her words wash away my frown,

What she says turns it all around

“You are dedicated, you are strong

You will always right the wrongs

Always loyal, always kind

Always with the craziest mind

You protect and you care

Always with me, always there

Friends will know your words are true

They can always count on you

Finding a job is not that hard

Focus now, c’mon, let’s start

This is what you need to seek

A job where all your qualities meet

Something where you help and serve,

Something that will take some nerve

A job with helping people in need

You always seem to be good at this deed

I know you’ll find it, I have faith

Open up that future gate”

Her words come at me loud and clear, I know what I was meant for here

I know that I will persevere

Who am I? What will I be?

I will study the four years of school, I will use them as my tool

Never give up, that’s the rule

Working hard every day, I won’t throw this all away

I’m ready now and here to stay

Who am I? What will I be?

A Nurse who helps all in need
