Whispers

Matt. 26: 41 Stay awake and pray that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Visitation

Always do what is right … so wrong can sit next to you

It will never leave you … but tries to crawl into your lap

There it will whisper softly … into your listening ears

to tempt you with desires … and all the other crap

Visitation with the guilty … will not bring innocence

It will not wipe your slate clean … from your self-made past

You are better off to take a leak … against the winds of time

so the fragrance of the splatter … gets you to your knees at last

Maybe you will wake up … and notice the choice is yours

Maybe you will embrace … that death to self brings bliss

Maybe the things that drive you … will loose their power

Maybe then repentance … will embrace you with a kiss
