Where There is Darkness There is a Bit of Light Called Hope

A fake smile she pulls,

The weight she bears rips her soul apart,

The words, the rejection, the hurt,

She sits alone,

In the dark,

Crying for someone to turn on the light,

She tries to please them,

Faking her opinions to fit theirs,

Faking her personality to fit theirs,

But once the stage is over,

A monstrous darkness turn into a light of hope,

She shows her true self,

Blossoming into a fierce and compassionate flower,

Blossoming into who she truly is,

She realizes being different is not a curse,

It’s what makes you beautiful,

It’s what makes you…you. A fake smile she pulls,

The weight she bears rips her soul apart,

The words, the rejection, the hurt,

She sits alone,

In the dark,

Crying for someone to turn on the light,

She tries to please them,

Faking her opinions to fit theirs,

Faking her personality to fit theirs,

But once the stage is over,

A monstrous darkness turn into a light of hope,

She shows her true self,

Blossoming into a fierce and compassionate flower,

Blossoming into who she truly is,

She realizes being different is not a curse,

It’s what makes you beautiful,

It’s what makes you…you.
