Where has all the passion gone?

Isn't it sad to be a loveless romantic

Like where has all the passion gone?

The type we saw in movies as kids

The masculinity, the confessions

Now it's all down the drain

Or was it ever real?

Did the talking pictures tell us lies

That true love isn't like that in real life

And isn't that ironic?

That we hear sex is what's false in films

But that's really how it is

People date who they wanna try

And if you really like someone your gonna get tried

And you can't show someone compassion and tell them how you feel

Because if you said what you felt you would just be weird

Like you don't want to scare her, but she means a great deal

And if you said that to her, it would be offputting

And you can't say you wanna try her

Cause that's all she'll think you'll want

And you want it, but not cause your a dog

Because your mesmerized by her beauty

And you want the real thing and still that other thing

But the real thing is apparently a figment of cinema

So you'll try others, but that's not what you want

But you can't try the ones you love

Because real love isn't deep feelings

It's who you'll put up with to put in

And that's not how it should be

But if you could do anything about it

What would it be?
