Where Goes The Dark?

Where goes the dark when bright mornings rise,

And the sun shows its face after sleeping?

The Earth keeps its spin as the sullen night dies,

And the moon disappears for safekeeping.

Running away from the problems we face,

We bask in the light of the day

Falling from grace at an imminent pace,

The sun is slipping away.

The night shall return as it always will,

Restoring the balance we strike,

For night is the dark, the pain and the thrill

And day is the dream that we like.
