Where Are The Women of Today
When I log onto Twitter I see fleshly pics,
young women making kissy faces drawing attention to their lips.
Girls won’t wear shorts that go to their knees,
because they want to catch a guy with a toned body, nice shoes, and car keys.
They won’t tell you their age, but you can have their number.
They'll be however old you need them to be, as long as you’re pushing a Hummer.
They think 'wife material' means knowing how to clean and cook.
But the last time I checked, there’s a bit more in the "How To Be A Lady" book.
Dignity, goals, self respect, and honor.
Don’t say yes because it’s your body, say NO because you’re someone’s daughter.
Females wear fake eyelashes and lipstick because it's a good thing to be called ‘bad’.
But you have to stay strong; I'd rather be the girl nobody wants, than be the girl everyone’s had.
Guys whistle and call at us like we’re property and not a person.
Someone, somewhere has to stand up before things worsen.
I’ve witnessed girls allow men to call them out their name and their only excuse for accepting it,
is that “they're trying to help him change".
Girls wait until they are fed up to say how they feel and the guy’s defense is:
"Well when I first did it, you didn’t make it a big deal".
And you’ll stick around because he has money and connections.
Look at how he treats you as he annihilates your reputation.
You’ll stay with him even though it’s obvious you need to leave.
Everyone wants to be loved, but those who don’t love themselves are easily deceived.
Females want respect but don’t even respect themselves.
Our bodies are constantly explored, and our intellect put on shelves.
My friend didn’t want to go to her boyfriend’s house because she was afraid to meet his mother like a lady,
So instead she gave him intimacy and now the only thing keeping them together is a baby.
As a phenomenal woman, there’s more to me besides my body with its curves.
If you don’t love my psyche, then my anatomy is none of your concern.
