For When You Feel That Feeling

The greater the struggle, the greater the hope, the greater the story.

The greater the struggle, the greater the hope, the greater the glory.

For better or for worse, till death due us part from this planet,

‘Till we fall into the great unknown,

Every waking moment,

Unforeseeable future,

It is our choice to live.

Bounce back from the brink.

Rise from the dark.

Resurrect.

Though it isn’t easy to see the light,

Though we can barely make out the first spark of dawn,

It is the faith that gets us through:

Our belief that the sun will come again,

Shining brightest after the storm.

The journey makes us brave.

From brokenness we become unbroken.

Darkness defeated,

We are not its slave.

With that faith we conquer death.

We win.

But when we’re dragged to the depths, trapped in the mire,

When all hope, that thing with feathers, flies the nested soul,

When the last strains of music dissipate into bitter silence,

The final ember grows cold,

When just breathing takes all the strength we possess,

It’s hard to remember.

I know.

It’s impossible to hope when you’ve forgotten where in which it lies,

So remember this.

Remember every word,

And repeat it in those tormented times.

The greater the struggle, the greater the hope, the greater the story.

The greater the struggle, the greater the hope, the greater the glory.

This is my story, a torch for you,

A light to guide your way.

The struggle great, so too the hope, so too the story.

The struggle great, so too the hope, this is my glory.

So warm yourself by this fire, rekindle your light with mine.

This is my story of struggle, hope, glory,

So go, now,

Be the light,

Shine, shine, shine!

Shine bright and light the way,

For those still trapped in the dark.

The greater the struggle, the greater the hope, the greater the story.

The greater the struggle, the greater the hope, the greater the glory.
