When Its Dark Out

I dream of climbing out my window in the dead of night

Perching myself on the rooftop and gazing up at the stars

The worlds different when it's dark out

It's still

Peaceful almost

Except for Jay Cook

He's always out at night cuz his dad's home

And Lizy Abner

It's too loud for her during the day.

You find different people when the moon is out

The dreamers, the rebels, the outcasts

They find a kind of sanctuary in the shadows

The same sense of calm i do

The breeze speaks of freedom

The stars of worlds unlike this one

And for just a few moments you can lose yourself in the moons milky glow

And let the wind serenade you

Before climbing back inside

Back to the life you wish to leave behind.
