When I was 10 and loved sea turtles...

a sea turtle is hurrying,

hurrying to the sea,

it takes no notice of a land creature like me,

it came ashore,

the night before,

and dropped a thousand gleaming jewels,

it buried them deep,

for they needed to steep,

to become something  new,

then she paddled away,

for it is now day,

to escape into the endless blue.
