When

Every step, Every breath, They chase you, Sudden death

Is this it? We wonder, We cant know, We hide

The glass-like void of silence fills our veins

As we listen to the cries of our brains

Run. The ground rumbles again

They follow you everywhere

They feed off your lost sleep

Run. The ground rumbles again

She jumped in front of the car

She begged to die

The schools are closed

Another butterfly

But we carry on

And we hide from our homes

In an attempt to escape the inevitable

The inexplicable

What else can be done

When you cant even trust

The ground beneath your feet

Such a dreaded bed of dust

We now know fear

Like never before

But we will stand together

And we will carry on
