What wouldn't I change?

Location

Everywhere I go and everywhere I look

I see people….

I see cars

I see homes

But on my side of town

I see poverty

I see disgrace

I see hate

What wouldn’t I change?

Hmm….

I know for a fact that I would change

The pain

The hurt

The madness

The lost girls out here trying to find love

In places where she shouldn’t go

The young boys out here fatherless

With no hope

You tell me what wouldn’t I change

How are we a community, but we don’t love each other?

 Instead………..

We would rather kill one another

Steal from each other

And lie to our lovers

I would change this chaotic environment

All the stereotypes

And even the atmosphere

Someone PLEASE Steer us in the right direction

Pardon my correction

But we just need love and affection

Tender loving and good care

What Wouldn’t I change??

Even though my community has flaws

We can work together and get rid

Of it all

Instead of getting trapped into this foolishness

Or worrying about a rap diss

We can only empowering each other

Instead of being like crabs and pulling one another

What wouldn’t I change?

The people who are actually trying to make it

Maybe one day we won’t need a change

Maybe,

Maybe the change starts with us, with you, with I.
