What Would You Change Scholarship Slam

If I could change anything

In the entire world

I'd change the way judgment fills

the eyes of teenage girls.

I'd change the way

the whispers hurt

the ones they are about

and I would change the way

some people feel;

like there is no way out.

I'd change the way some children sleep

with no pillow under their head

and I'd change the way some children have no parent

to get the monsters out from under their bed.

I'd change the way this whole world works

from the outside in

I'd change the entire world;

restore it new again.

I'd change the we see one another

so that we know how lucky we are.

I would re-program all of us,

to thank our lucky stars.

There are many things I would change

yes, so much I would do,

but really, I need to change myself,

before I start changing you.
