What It's Like

I bet you don’t know what it’s like

To love someone so entirely

Completely

Until there is nothing left of your heart

And not have them feel the same

And I bet you don’t know what it’s like

To have them use you

To have them abuse you

Because you are in their hands

They have all control

And I bet you don’t know what it’s like

To be as hopeless as a bird without wings

Watching them play with your heart

As if it isn’t some fragile thing

As if you can’t be broken

All because you are so in love

You can’t see past their sadistic ways

I bet you don’t know what it’s like

To sit back and watch the person you love

Never feel the same

Take your heart and destroy it

Make it into some kind of game

Because they don’t need you

Because they don’t love you

I bet you don’t know what it’s like
