What I Wish We All Knew

Mon, 05/30/2016 - 04:06 -- GPaknis

I'm not perfect but I'm real

They tell me how I should feel but what works for you drowns me

And what's right for you ain't right for me

So just let me do me and I'll let you do you

And maybe we can meet one fine day in the middle of paradise, without dismay

Cause I've been wishing on an ocean of dreams.  I've been wishing on fresh starrs and happy hearts...

And I ain't seen what I'm dreaming but they say 'keep believing'

Keep believing.

So what do you believe in now?

What do you trust in a world full of frowns and false crowns?

What do you stand for in a world that's defeating it's own purpose

Bleeding its own rivers of truth

And here we are in the middle, forgetting that's is all

Within me and you

And you

And him, and her too

Equals the math equation of our dreams

So where are you Mother Mary, am I the only one on my knees?

Am I the only one standing up for our truth?

The story of humanity is in question and nobody's questioning

Their truth

Just walking around like zombies without beating hearts

Zombies at the start of a race to death

So let's turn this around

And start undressing our

Sins

Our pain

And our vulnerability

Because that's where all this begins

In our authenticity to be exactly who we are

On our two feet

At this time of history

So come on and come forward

Cause the world is waiting for you

Till it feels

Complete.
