What is this?

Sat, 12/08/2018 - 22:30 -- dlz

What is this yearning, this deepened sense of knowing?

One day, one hour, one minute is excruciating to be apart from you

Bliss is given in the light of your eyes, the tilt of your head, the curve of your stomach

And the feeling of merging with all that is you and I am annihilated

Torn from and transported to an expanse that is entangled with me and you

The world becoming only us - craving to be transformed, transmuted in union

You are burned into my flesh and I have become ravenous with longing to kiss, to press, to hold

Gently and then with passionate force – ebb and flow- and currents and waves

And always that searing of connection that arouses ardor, that sways and enkindles

We become one and there is no space, no distance only the pulsing of hearts
