The Web Above Us

The fabric, so obviously visible.

We, oblivious to its vital importance,

to sustain civilization,

are ignoring the fabric of information.

The institutions gather us,

learning to weave, stitch, and sow:

"Name chemical nomenclatures

Network the intricate web that regulate bureaucracy

And don't we all learn from the printed past?"

True, technology eases the accounting

But dispite the education,

the importance of this fabric remains abstract.

How evermore we rely on it for basic living,

will it tangle and sufficate us?

Or will it eventually break from overwhelming bearing?
