We don't know

Wed, 01/18/2017 - 23:39 -- cjonia2

It was summer, a hot and humid day

Thinking about the beach in Florida

And everything that was within our reach

Now we’re back in Houston

Tears and apprehension are taking over

Our minds are all about the future

What will happen now

We don’t know

Who will pay for our expenses

We don’t know

Who will pay for our debt

We don’t know

How we’re going to pay our house and car

We don’t know

Most importantly, how I will pay for college

We don’t know

How long it will take to have our savings all used up

We don’t know

But after a month

He checked his inbox

And now we know

This poem is about:
Me
My family
