We Aren't Helpless

Location

Who's to blame?
We're all just so different,
we take it for granted
that we're right;
point the fingers at anyone else
and mock the system.
Just consider this:
maybe we have our own way
to go about education.
Maybe what's up to me
is down to you.
I'll learn this way,
and you learn that.
We'll work to understand
rather than shifting the fault
to those who try their best
to help us.
No one wants to see you fail,
teachers teach because they want to --
and they want to help you.
You aren't a victim;
become a victor.
Helplessness lies with those
who refuse to help themselves.
