Water

I am omnibenevolent, with anyone I will mix,

But if they do not want me around, I will avoid their cliques.

Make me warm and I will give pleasure, satisfy all feelings.

Make me too hot, and I will boil with rage, grant pain that a burn brings.

Make me cool, and I will bring comfort, taking away your frown.

Make me too cold and I will freeze, like a cruel sword I will cut you down.

I will fit into any group, any vessel I am I am poured into

If there is colour around me, I will assume that colour, too.

I can say nothing but the truth; A terrible liar I am.

If irrelevant bickerings start to break out, I just don’t give a damn.

I can be changed in almost any way, but my nature is not so.

I am and forever will be, the same water you will always know.
