(poems go here)
The light that the sun brings has great warmth.
She could lay in it for hours.
Her hair sways along with her dress as the wind gently passes by her.
She lets her arms hang loosely and her finger tips are gently brushed by the tips of the knee high grass.
The small stream of water was her peace maker.
It was just all the elements of nature that she needed to complete her peace.
It was then that she waited for the first hour to escape her world.
No one would or could understand her thought of imagination.
It was only nature, created by God that could put her in a place that she needed to be in.
A place where she wanted to be.
A place where she felt free.

I wrote this poem after watching a scene from the movie, “Hamlet.” It was a scene based upon Hamlet’s “lover” where she went mad after months of not seeing Hamlet. She was given a promise and never received that promise. During the scene the queen’s voice was so gentle and serene. I wrote with her voice in my head to make it seem gentle like the wind and soft grass.
