“I love you lots!” drips from my lips like the rosary beads of a nun

It’s your eyes I stare into, their blue melting me like ice

It’s my lips you breathe against leaving the taste of paradise

I drive you forward, when you cannot bring yourself to rise

You slow me down when I gas to fast and romanticize

We travel through the desert and snow just to be certain we can give a morning kiss goodbye

It’s in the backrubs I give you after a stressful day

It’s in the cuddles you give me when I cannot bring myself to say

What is wrong with me

It’s even in the way there is nothing, but honesty

In our odd humor and matching cynicism
