we want new objects

we want old comforts too

we want to love but shy away from rejection

we want to learn but pressured by our peers

we want justice but afraid of the outcome

we want to laugh but it soon turns to tears

what do you want, do you know?

just face your fears and go 

too scared you say

but want to be brave

stand up 

sit down

smile the day away 

you want courage you say

look me in the eyes

there are no goodbyes

only hellos and see you laters 

you want friends 

just be yourself

or someone else

but dont forget

you might not get what you want 

you get what you need

the majority says you wont like it

but in time 

you'll understand 

that what you really wanted 

you already had
