Wanted

Going in blind

Make up my mind

Where is the one?

They told me about

Forgot my intentions

Rose-colored glasses

I got distracted

Cause I was imagining

Her out the shadows

I was so lost

Just wanted love

That wasn't enough

But I don't need lust

Cause I'm thinking of us

Trying to impress her

But I just messed up

He was successful

Caring and respectful

I was waiting for someone

Now I feel like no one

But I don't need trust

Cause I'm imagining us

Trying to please him

But I just freezed up

We were so happy

Overlooked a bad seed

Disappointment and denial

Abandonment, betrayal

You have permission

To be loved, it's your mission

Communication and support

Honesty, stability

Mainstream lies

Often made me cry

Thought I'd rather die

They were never true

Co-dependency is fire

Doubting is a liar

Independent persons

Can no longer worsen

Healthy relationships are these

Things we say we want

But often just ignore

Take off those colored glasses

And come and see what happens.
