Walls

Thu, 05/16/2013 - 13:12 -- Woodsie

You know you’re a horrible person.
Your walls won’t let you forget.
Closing in, I’m sorry dear.
These are the things you don’t want to hear.
But walls have voices and ears to listen.
Be careful what you wish for.
An outlet or two.
Stick your fingers in.
Posters burn off the wall
Let the paint drip into your veins.
Bury your head in the carpet
And bawl.
Let the music, pounding in your ears,
Consumer every fiber of your being.
Dealt the hand of shame,
Paper maché your face.
It’s all going to be okay, my dear.
The walls have their voices
And ears to hear.
