the sun shines, but not in my window, yet I still wake, I wake slowly, body aching, music on, brain still off, sometimes it starts with a cough, breakfast, maybe, stomach growls, clothes on, routine, bookbag found, house silent, from my room no sound, then a dog barks, a car parks, I'm more awake, with every step I take, the day begins, I won't be awake when it ends,
