Waiting for the End

Your scent lingers on my skin

I never want to leave your embrace

Your eyes keep on pulling me in

No one else makes me feel so safe.

Forget about the world, it’s just you and me

Nothing can be wrong when we’re together

Your face, your voice are imprinted in my memory

I lose my mind when you say “I love you, Heather.”

You infiltrate my mind and break down my walls

My heart is not whole when we’re apart

I have never felt so high-above-it-all

You’re the light that leads me out of the dark.

Without you, I have lost my very best friend

But I know that this cannot be the end.
