Vintage Heart

Wed, 07/10/2013 - 21:21 -- j2theng

You look for new trees and cities, things of which you can call your own
New places to photograph to not feel alone
Those digital pixels are simply not enough
You dig up your old film to only find it feeling so rough
Your vinyl record continues to play on repeat
It's a familiar place of striking defeat
There it is again, the long winding maze
You find your heart reset to its old ways
Those telephone books and dusty cassettes
Turn your attention to only gray sunsets
Your favorite radio muted by static of thoughts
You remember the sounds of shattering teapots
You find your old bike in the path of new delays
You find your heart reset to its old ways
