The Very Best Teacher

Once long ago, Poseidan was a god among many others with incredible powers

Known for the ways in which he could control the waters

Little did he know, that one treacherous foe, would all have them slaughtered

He barely escaped, heading straight for the seas, for it was his most beloved place

He did what he knew best, with all that he possessed

and took for the seas with no second guess

He lived and lived,

for thousands of years

until he decided that he was done hiding

He swam to the beaches and was most surprised by this peculiar sight

Hundreds of children were swimming about

Screaming proud and aloud their joy quickly spread

and Poseiden was filled with a most glorious joy

He filled in their distance, for he could not contain his emotions

The children didn’t scream but simply admired

this man holding a trident

just arose from the depths

Years and years later his heart is still filled with joy

at the beautiful sight of these children so happy

The parents have said nothing

for the children hide his secret well

It is said to this day

that he is kind and selfless, and teaches the children the stories of old

The beach was renamed

Poseidan’s Beach

Although none of the parents have any idea why

the children all agree

Poseidon's Beach is the place to be
