I'm huddled in my corner

With nothing left to show for my sins

The walls are growing colder

And I see the world through a twisted lense

I look down at my canvases

They're riddled with lines fading away

I've many disadvantages

But with my blade, I begin to paint

Red is the color of many pretty things

Ruby lips, leaves, and destiny strings

Red is the color of life's push and pull

But, today, it isn't beautiful

I'm trembling at the counter

As the sink sweeps away my cause to cry

My tongue is growing sour

And I feel I might lose all that I hide

I look up at the ceiling as it sways

My eyes swimming in an ocean of fears

As I've seen, life has many shades of grey

But the darkness lingers, here

Red is the color of many pretty things

Ruby lips, leaves, and destiny strings

Red is the color of life's push and pull

But, today, it isn't beautiful

Red is the color of many pretty things

Ruby lips, leaves, and destiny strings

Red is the color of life's push and pull

But, today, it isn't beautiful
