The sounds ring in my ear as I walk down the crowded hallway
Lasers brought by others burning my flesh
I try to escape by going to the only safe haven I have
I stare at my reflection in the mirror
I ask myself what do I see?
A broken-hearted person, spirit defeated
Then I hear footsteps on the tile
Sprinting was my only inclination
There I crouch on that cold, white, porcelain angel
Squatting in my covert
Right then refusing to listen to those who try to coax me
Ha ha ha they say
Stalking their prey is what lingers in their minds
The smell of fear suffocates me creating a distinct aura
I cover my mouth to prevent hard breathing
Then I look to my left and right
My name plastered all over the stall as if it were a chalk board
Twisting and contorting like a dangling rope
Upchuck appears
Just as they move to other known territory
I fall down, raindrops everywhere
Something makes me rise
Step by step I make it to that glass
It shatters with one punch
I fall to the floor
Seeing my reflection scattered about
Something is different
My trembling hands put the pieces together
The puzzle completed, my life restored to its glory
